Rink maintainance

A very important factor which influences the quality of skating on the synthetic rink is the maintainance method.

The rink has to be kept clean. The cleaner the surface, the better the skating. It is enough to sweep the surface or to use a vacuum cleaner. To maximise its efficiency and to expand the life of the polymer it is advisable to use a special emulsion that makes the surface more slippery and therefore increases skating speed. This is a non-toxic washable product that is applied to the surface of the polymer once every two to three weeks, depending on the rink type (i.e. outdoor or indoor).
